A small studio for human-scale businesses.

Quartier Web is an independent studio based in Montréal. We build sites for neighbourhood businesses in Montréal, Ottawa–Gatineau and the Toronto area.

A few projects at a time, never more. That’s how we deliver in two weeks without cutting corners.

We know restaurants from the inside. Quartier Web was founded by Robert Kauffman, owner of Chef On Call, a Montréal late-night food delivery business running since 2009. We know what a customer looks for on their phone at 9 p.m. See our restaurant websites.

The questions we hear most often.

Why not WordPress or Wix?

They add platform fees that creep up, plugins to maintain and security holes. A hand-coded site is faster, simpler to look after, and genuinely yours.

What does annual maintenance include?

Hosting, security updates and a set number of content changes: 2 a year on Essential, 4 on Neighbourhood and on the monthly plan. An extra change is $75. A major redesign is a separate project.

How does the monthly plan work?

You get the Neighbourhood site, maintenance and hosting included, with a 24-month minimum. The regular price is $80 a month. The first 10 clients pay $40 a month, locked in for all 24 months. If you stop early, the rest of the 24 months is due. After 24 months the site is yours: keep maintenance at $30 a month, or stop.

What if I don’t want maintenance?

No problem. You pay for hosting ($150 a year) and each change as you go: $75 for a small change, $150 for a new menu, $85 an hour for anything bigger. 3 to 5 business days.

Can you add online ordering?

Yes, with the platform of your choice: UEAT, Square, Lightspeed, Clover or the one you already use. It handles orders, payments and kitchen printing, and bills you directly, without the 25–30% commission delivery apps take. How it works for restaurants.

I don’t have photos or copy ready.

That’s most of our clients. We guide you through gathering photos, writing copy and translating it. A few phone photos are enough to start.

How does payment work?

Paid up front: a 50% deposit at the start, the balance at launch. Monthly: the first month at the start, then a charge each month. Either way, the domain is in your name.
